This monthly series provides full exposure of specific projects across all of MUSC and the state to emphasize the clinical and translational aspects of the project, and to foster the development of new collaborations. In an effort to collaborate and not compete with existing seminar series, beginning in the 2008 Fall the SCTR seminar series will co-sponsor an existing seminar series monthly.
Upcoming Seminars
Seminars previously sponsored and co-sponsored by SCTR are listed here. Several have been captured/recorded with Tegrity, simply select the title and follow the instructions. Click here for archived list.
This Mentored Clinical Research elective offered twice per year (September & February) is open to MD, MD/PhD and DMD/PhD students and fellows. The rotation is designed to teach students of all levels about conducting clinical and translational research and includes didactic as well as experiential learning within the MUSC Clinical and Translational Research Center (CTRC, formerly the GCRC). Click here for additional information.
Workshops will be designed and implemented to meet the emerging needs of the research community. These daylong thematically based programs are designed to bring together individuals from multiple disciplines (students, trainees, and faculty) interested in a specific topic.
The primary goal of the mentored rotations is to provide access to senior experienced researchers on participant-initiated learning objectives for medical students, residents, health science predoctoral students and junior faculty. These elective mentored rotations are available throughout the year and are structured to achieve defined learning objectives in which small groups or single trainees will be partnered with one or more mentors to provide a clinical and translational research experience in a specific area of interest.
